Case Study
US Border Patrol Facility

On 20 March 2020, FUZE Biotech (now Fuze Technologies) collected samples from various locations in a US Border Patrol facility to measure bacterial and fungal levels before applying the long-lasting antimicrobial FUZE surface treatment. On 15 May 2020, samples were again collected from the facility to measure the long-lasting efficacy of FUZE in reducing bacterial and fungal counts.

The testing was performed by LexaMed, an independent third-party laboratory. The samples were incubated, and then the total number of colony forming units (CFUs) of both bacteria and fungus were counted. A CFU count includes only the viable (alive and capable of multiplying) organisms.

The table below shows the bacterial counts, fungal counts, and percentage reduction for each location.
